5 Fantastic Firework Displays around Hilton Head

July 3, 2018

In Hilton Head, you can see fireworks all over the island as the magical light above the water caps off a fun-filled Independence Day.  There are a ton of events on July 4th, but when it comes to the fireworks, you will want to read below to see the best viewing situations where you can see several displays illuminate the sky.

Read below for five spots to help you plan the best spot for you and your family or group.

1) Harbour Town Lighthouse at 9 p.m. over the Calibogue Sound
There is a $6.00 gate fee to enter the resort, however there will be a free shuttle service between Harbour Town and various parking lots in the Seap Pines Resort.  You may also see the Shelter Cove's display to the north and Tybee displays to the southeast.

2)  The Sands, Port Royal
It is one of the most popular beaches and the position just north of Parris Island and south of Beaufort make for an amazing Fourth of July view.  Park by the Dry Dock and don't forget to bring cash for beer and wine.  You may also see Parris Island's firework display before the show.

3)  Hilton Head beaches (especially the South End)
There is not a firework display on the beach, but it is a great spot to see fireworks light up the sky all around the water and glistening sky.  You will likely see fireworks from Tybee Island to the south, Harbour Town to the east, and Shelter Cove to the north.  If the sky is clear, there is a chance you may see the Savannah fireworks.

4)  Shelter Cove
Shelter Cove will set off fireworks at dusk from Broad Creek.  Grab a drink at Poseidon, Hilton Head's rooftop bar, which will provide for an amazing view of the fireworks over Broad Creek.  You will also be able to see fireworks from any restaurant in Shelter Cove Harbour and Marina.

5)  Parris Island
This is a fantastic spot to view the fireworks because the Independence Day celebration is free and open to the public.  The festivities start at 5:00 p.m. and features performance and live music.
